This sweet family has a tradition of traveling to the Blue Ridge Mountains from Florida every year and decided they'd love to have some memories captured while they enjoyed their time together. They rented an adorable little cabin that sits perched on top of a mountain with amazing views and lots of room to roam. When we were chatting about locations around Asheville for their family session, Colleen sent me the VRBO link to her cabin with pictures of all of the land surrounding it, and needless to say, the search was over. This place was a dream!

Not only were the cabin, land, views, and location amazing, but this family was also some of the sweetest souls I have ever met. Their love for each other shined so brightly, and it was an honor to capture it all in such a magical place.

This family! My dog Boo introduced us about a year and a half ago, as they were the angels that fostered him after his rescue. They were almost foster fails because they couldn't resist his cuteness, but I got lucky and scored him after all. I am thankful he brought us together because I have had the pleasure of watching their sweet family grow! I captured their newborn session only 6 months ago, and was so excited to see baby Asher in all of his cuteness at this precious stage of life! I love the alertness, curiosity, wobbly waddles, and chunky legs at this stage. Megan brought a basket that was an heirloom in her family, and so naturally, we had to put Asher in it. He was a literal show stopper at the park. Passerbys couldn't handle the cuteness, and neither could I.

I took a stroll three houses down to capture this sweet family's lifestyle newborn session. We love our little Oakhurst neighborhood in Charlotte, NC, and we are so happy this family moved in a couple years ago. I always love walking by and admiring their front yard garden, especially when the kids are out helping harvest. These kiddos couldn't be any cuter, and their house is what dreams are made of. I love the bright bedrooms, dark and moody living room and their whole modern/southwest aesthetic.

The kids were sweet and shy when I arrived, but it didn't take long for them to open up and let all the sillies out. I may have been a bit of a bad influence by getting them riled up right before nap time. Whoopsies! Hopefully the jumping on the bed and playing chase helped them nap a little longer:)

After the big kids went down for nap, I was able to capture some sweet, intimate moments with mama and baby. Then the pups came out and surrounded them with even more love, and it was more sweetness than I could even handle.
